Family Medicine Clinical Encounters

Residents must provide care for a minimum of 1000 hours in the Family Health Center. Residents must be scheduled to see patients in the Family Health Center site for a minimum of 40 weeks during each year of the program.

FHC Continuity Clinics:

PGY-1 (200-250 encounters per year)

• 4-6 patients per half-day session
• 1-2 half-days per week on average

PGY-2 (500-650 encounters per year)

• 6-8 patients per half-day session
• 2-3 half-days per week on average

PGY-3 (950-1100 encounters per year)

• 8-10 patients per half-day of clinic
• 4-5 half-days per week on average
