The Achieve in Medicine (AIM)-Higher day camp is designed for graduates of the AIM-High Day Camp offered by Nova Southeastern University's Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine. This immersive summer day camp offers participants an opportunity to gain an even deeper knowledge on what it means to provide compassionate care to others. 

The Human Side of Medicine: AIM-Higher 2026

AIM-Higher 2026 is focused on "The human side of medicine." This immersive experience will give you hands-on opportunities to explore how cultural, economic, and family issues impact patient care.

You'll get to:

  • Work directly with NSU faculty, simulated patients, and medical students.
  • Develop crucial skills in empathy and communication.
  • See firsthand how knowledge and compassion work together to provide quality patient care.
  • Participate in a research project to gain valuable experience.

This program is designed to give you a deeper understanding of what it truly means to be a compassionate and effective healthcare provider.

Application Process

Only former graduates of AIM-High are eligible to participate in this program. Graduates will receive an application, including required forms. All documents should be sent together as part of a complete application.

Program Cost

Tuition of $1990 Includes:

  • 7+ hours of instruction each day
  • Social events
  • Meals, snacks, and refreshments
  • Interaction with NSU medical students and faculty
  • Social gatherings
  • Community service project

Payment Schedule:

  • Nonrefundable Deposit - $300.00
  • First payment - $845.00 due by May 1, 2026
  • Final payment - $845.00 due by June 1, 2026

Frequently Asked Questions

All students are to be dropped off and picked up at the Health Professions Division/Terry Building. Students should arrive no later than 8:45 a.m. Pick-up will be promptly at 6:00 p.m. on most days, in the same location as drop-off. The address is 3300 South University Drive, Davie, FL 33328. Enter from South University Drive (there is a Shell Gas station directly across the street from the building). 

  • Staff, as well as medical student volunteers, will be present to greet students upon arrival.
  • You will receive a name card to display in your windshield when picking up your student.
  • Be sure to have your ID ready as we will only release students to individuals listed on the enrollment form.
  • To avoid traffic congestion in the area we ask that you drop-off and pick-up your student as quickly and safely as possible. Do not park or linger in the drop-off/pick-up area.

Participants are permitted to have their cell phones with them during camp, although they will be asked to be silenced during sessions. They will be able to communicate between sessions. A telephone number will be provided for emergency calls or messages.

Complimentary meals, snacks, and refreshments will be served daily, and students will have a variety of options available. Shark Dining caters to all diets including Kosher, vegan, and vegetarian options. Students are welcome to take their own meals to support specific dietary needs.
