The mission of the Nova Southeastern University (NSU) Physical Therapy (PT) Sports Residency Program is to prepare physical therapy residents for advanced clinical practice in the management of sports-related movement disorders. Through evidence-based education, on-field venue coverage, immersive clinical experiences, and focused mentorship, residents develop expertise in differential diagnosis, patient/client management, and intervention strategies for athletic populations. Graduates contribute to the profession through teaching, research, and leadership, and are recognized for their clinical excellence, advocacy, and service to the community.

The NSU sports residency was designed to advance residents from entry-level to expert status in the evaluation and treatment of athletes. The 12-month program takes place in the NSU clinic and in the field house and athletic venues on the NSU campus. The patient population served in this clinic consists of college and recreational athletes. The resident will be involved in all aspects of college sports from strength and conditioning to post op rehab, from pre to post season.
