Welcome to the Department of Public Health!

The KPCOM Department of Public Health is comprised of the Master of Public Health and the Bachelor of Science in Public Health. The synergy of these two programs offers the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine and Nova Southeastern University (NSU) the opportunity to provide a firm foundation designed to meet the training and education necessary for a formidable public health workforce. The implementation of the BSPH in 2017 was in response to a national call from the Institute of Medicine for integration of public health in health-professions education, as well as the introduction of public health into undergraduate education as a whole.

Bachelor of Science in Public Health

Set your goal toward a future in one of the most in-demand fields in healthcare - obtain a Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH). This unique undergraduate program provides students with a strong foundation of population health, social and environmental determinants of health, and strategies related to disease prevention and health promotion—all critical to addressing health threats and strengthening the public health workforce. Students who complete this program will have a solid foundation in public health that is crafted from a combination of hands-on experiences, global and domestic travel opportunities, and faculty-led instruction.
