Dr. Oremland’s area of expertise is pediatrics in the educational realm, Early Childhood and Intervention, Pre-Kindergarten through secondary education. Until she retired (2021), she worked in Broward County Public Schools, Ft. Lauderdale, FL with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, their teachers, families, and school staff. This included identification, amplification, and staff and student support. Prior to her position in the school system, she was in private practice. She also worked in several ENT/medical practices as an Independent Contractor to further hone her professional skills.

As an adjunct professor at NSU, she teaches audiology to undergraduate students in the Speech-Language Pathology Department. She enjoys teaching her students about the importance of understanding hearing in relation to communication and how it closely relates to speech and language proficiency.
