Speech Language Pathology

Sharla Jefferson has clinical and research interests in the areas of multicultural issues, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), autism, and intellectual disabilities. She teaches clinical and multicultural issues courses (e.g. Clinical Process and Multicultural Issues) at the graduate level, and is passionate about providing culturally responsive and competent evaluation and intervention for minoritized individuals and persons with complex communication needs.
