Dr. Athena Hall is originally from Detroit, Michigan, where she led and contributed to numerous public health initiatives with a strong focus on maternal and child health. Her professional experience includes roles at Health Research and Services Administration (HRSA), the Detroit Health Department, Ascension Health, Detroit Public Schools, and Wayne State University.
She also served as the Executive Director of Reviv Family Support Foundation while in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Hall holds a BS in Biology/Pre-Medicine from Wilberforce University, an MPH in Health Policy from The George Washington University, and a PhD in Public Health from Walden University.
As part of her doctoral training, she also completed public health residencies in Madrid and Paris, gaining global perspectives on maternal and child health. She is currently pursuing an MS in Psychology, reflecting her deep commitment to understanding and addressing the emotional and behavioral dimensions of health. Her research explores how coping mechanisms shaped by unique lived experiences influence maternal and child health, emotional wellness, and overall community well-being. She is especially passionate about integrating psychology and public health to improve outcomes for all populations.
