Dr. Kara Erolin is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), an AAMFT-approved supervisor, and an Associate Professor of Couple and Family Therapy at Nova Southeastern University’s Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine. She has extensive experience working with underserved populations, focusing on addressing structural challenges that impact mental health and relationships. Her clinical orientation is grounded in social constructionist ideas, emphasizing the importance of challenging dominant narratives to create space for diverse voices and experiences. Dr. Erolin has specialized expertise in Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) for trauma and Parent Management Training–Oregon Model (PMTO) for parenting skills, and she serves as a trauma/field responder for the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology.
