"NOVA's DEM program is a personalized learning experience based on your professional interests. The professors have a genuine respect for the students and passion for the field. I am now offering emergency operations plans and training to faith-based organizations in the Atlanta area, a direct result of my practicum experience in the DEM program."
Chundelai Harris, MS 2015
"The DEM program provides invaluable insights into the field of emergency management while teaching you practical, tested, and scalable EM techniques that are applicable to real world emergency events. The program prepares any manager or person in a leadership role to better plan for an emergency event and to be situationally aware during one. The professor’s, course work, and interactive student participation gave me information and techniques that I was able to put into practice almost immediately. Great program!"
