Jessica Popham, Ph.D., LMFT

Dr. Jessica Popham is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Florida. She has presented and published on mental health and therapeutic topics and is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and the Florida Counseling Association (FCA). Before joining NSU, Dr. Popham was an assistant professor and practicum coordinator at a different University in the Masters in Psychology program.

Dr. Popham has worked in community mental health, providing in-home therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families from culturally diverse backgrounds. She has also provided therapeutic services in university clinics, school settings, and private practice. Her specialties include, but are not limited to, anxiety, trauma, identity, parenting, human sexuality and gender, and family dynamics. She also has experience in providing group and individual therapy with adult sexual offenders.

Dr. Popham focuses on providing a comfortable and respectful environment to support clients and students in achieving their goals and improving their quality of life. Dr. Popham strives to practice what she preaches and enjoys incorporating mindfulness and meditation into her personal life, the therapy room, and the classroom.
