Welcome Message

The Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Department of Family Therapy is proud to offer the Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness Coaching. This academic relationship is an important cross-disciplinary, interprofessional initiative at Nova Southeastern University.

The academic rigor, emphasis on relational and systemic tenets of mental and behavioral health and core human nutrition and public health underpinnings will successfully prepare students for a career in health and wellness coaching. The B.S. in Health and Wellness Coaching degree is also an excellent onramp to medical school, graduate degrees in family therapy, public health or nutrition, in addition to many other graduate and professional programs.

Working alongside professionals in the fields of family therapy, mental health and medicine, you will learn critical strategies for engaging clients in their exploration and understanding of their unique paths toward wellness. Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness Coaching graduates will have significant career versatility and will be prepared for myriad positions as health and wellness coaches in community hospital settings, medical systems, fitness facilities, rehabilitation centers, governmental and nongovernmental agencies, humanitarian organizations, corporations, private and group clinical practices, universities, health research institutes and other health care-related services.
