During the two-day intense skills workshop each participant will learn hands on skills needed to work in an Emergency Department/Urgent Care. You will work in small groups with Emergency Medicine physicians and advanced practitioners. Over the two days you will receive 12.5 CME credits along with a catered breakfast and lunch. Prior to each station, there will be a short lecture over each topic. Included in the price, you will receive all the lectures printed in a binder along with great cheat sheet on the type of sutures needed and how long they are left in. Below is a brief description of each skill that will be covered.

|We will go over a one needle stick approach to anesthetizing the abscess and properly opening and draining an abscess pocket. We will review common pitfalls when approaching an incision and drainage.|
|You will learn on a model how to insert a central line catheter using ultrasound guidance. This session will give you the foundation needed in which you can continue to grow your skills at your local ED.|
|We will be practicing direct and video-assisted laryngoscopy intubation on an airway mannequin. In addition, we will review basic airway management techniques and supraglottic airway devices.|
|If you have difficulty sometimes finding the correct vein for IV placement, this skill session will help you understand how to use ultrasound to correctly fine the vein that will give you the best periph|
|During this session we will be going over ultrasound techniques to look for the Gallbladder, Aorta and DVT studies. This will give you a good overview of ultrasound medicine. You will still need to build on what you learn during this session. Each participant will be able to practice on a live patient.|
