Additionally, the materials in this course are intended to help clinical faculty members with minimal training instruction to improve their teaching methods for resident physicians and osteopathic medical students. If you do not have an NSU e-mail address or if you have not previously registered for the course please start the registration process.

During the registration process you will be provided an NSU ID and pin. Once you have finished registering you will need to retrieve your SharkLink ID. This will allow you to log into the Canvas online learning system. This will only need to be done once.

  1. Click on this link " Retrieve Your SharkLink ID"
  2. Select option #2 to input your NSU ID and your date of birth. You will be given a Sharklink ID and password.
  3. With your new Sharklink ID and password, please log in to the course through Sharklearn.
  4. Upon successfully logging in you will be brought to the main page. Under courses please select the "Resident and Clinical Faculty Development" course.

Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine now offers in partnership with the Florida Department of Health, “virtual” tobacco cessation services. Florida's AHECs have been a major provider of effective and evidence-based group tobacco cessation services in countless communities throughout the state for over a decade. To ensure social distancing, the AHECs now offer free virtual group cessation meetings via ZOOM® scheduled at multiple times throughout the day and week. These interactive and supportive sessions provide a convenient option for those individuals who prefer to participate from the comfort and safety of their own home.
