NSU-KPCOM strives to place 100 percent of our graduates into graduate medical education (GME) programs. Our graduates have historically been highly competitive in the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), and military residency programs. Now, under the Single Accreditation System, they continue to place very well. The table below shows the number of graduates obtaining residencies in each type of program, the number of graduates unable to obtain placement in an accredited program, and the location of placements reported.
Note: During the transition to the Single Accreditation System, NSU-KPCOM did not differentiate between AOA-and ACGME-accredited programs.

All NSU-KPCOM students are required to take and pass the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX) Levels 1, 2CE, and 2PE before graduation. After graduation and during residency training, students continuing their education are required to take and pass the COMLEX Level 3 exam. The table below shows performance on first time pass rates of students for all board exams.
