Starting with the student wellness course in your first year to continuous access to premier resources like the NSU RecWell and the Center for Student Counseling and Well-Being, you’ll be supported throughout your studies. Plus you can find like-minded peers for social connection through various student organizations committed to mental health, inclusivity, and healthy living.

Mental Health

You’re never swimming alone when you’re swimming with the NSU Sharks. If at any point as a student at the College of Osteopathic Medicine you feel overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, and other emotions, help is here. The NSU Center for Student Counseling and Well-Being (CSCW) offers counseling services by licensed professionals.

Offered by NSU’s clinical partner Henderson Behavior Health, a leader in student behavioral health care, CSCW’s services range from stress management to coping strategies to psychiatric assessment and crisis intervention. In addition to one-on-one counseling, the center works across other support systems throughout NSU to provide support groups and awareness outreach.

The RecWell operates the RecPlex, which is home to state-of-the-art fitness equipment, indoor basketball and racquetball courts, a climbing wall, and the largest pool in South Florida.
