Scientific Research Poster Competition

CEME 2020 Poster Competition CANCELLED

We have been closely monitoring the situation around COVID-19 as it relates to the 2020 Consortium for Excellence in Medical Education (CEME) Student/Intern/Resident/Fellow Scientific Research Poster Competition scheduled for April 17 and April 20 at our Davie and Tampa Bay Regional campuses. We have been following updates and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization, as well as state and local governments. Given the growing and uncertain path of the current COVID-19 public health crisis, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the CEME 2020 Research Poster Competition. We do this out of an abundance of caution to avoid the possibility of unnecessarily exposing participants. The motivation for this decision reflects our commitment to care for the health of students, residents, interns, educators, staff, and physicians as well as the community at large.

We are grateful to all of you who made plans to attend this year’s event. It is heartbreaking to miss the annual gathering of our student/resident/intern/fellow community, but the safety and health of all involved is paramount.

Be well,
Dr. Robin Jacobs.

Chief Resident Leadership Workshop – Over the years, CEME has made a concerted effort to help provide rising chief residents with leadership skills that will enable them to confront the demands of their new role. In fact, past attendees have commented that the program provided them with skills to confront their new role in ways that they did not expect.

The CEME Chief Resident Leadership Training Program is presented by Barry A. Doublestein, DSL.
