The College of Osteopathic Medicine identifies external research opportunities and training grants. These have included the Health Resources and Services Administration, National Institutes of Health, and the Florida Department of Health. More than $25 million dollars in grant funding has been awarded to NSU and the college since 2000 through these efforts. The OIR provides mentorship and leadership experiences for osteopathic medicine, public health and health professions students who are interested in research (including protocol development as well as project implementation and evaluation).
