There are many new nutrition-related challenges during COVID-19, including grocery shopping, food safety concerns, food preparation ideas and nutritious food suggestions to support and improve our overall health. There are many services and resources that are now available to improve food accessibility and availability, especially for those who are in need of some additional support during these challenging times of COVID 19 restriction.
We have included a variety of nutrition resources on our webpage to help navigate some of the newly changed or updated criteria of organizations and programs that normally provide services. We have also developed additional fact sheets, brief videos and recipes to provide ideas and options that are centered around shelf stable foods and food safety.

Services: Grab-n-Go bagged lunch sites for students throughout South Florida. Summer Food services Programs have been extended. 2020-2021-SFSP-7-Day-Meal-Box-Parents
Services: AProvides information regarding meal resources which have been limited by COIVD. Topics include Pandemic-EBT (P-BET) supplemental benefits for households with children who lost access to free-reduced meals at school. Information regarding snap benefits for home food delivery is provided.
Services: Free virtual nutrition and fitness classes during COVID 19. No eligibility required.
Services: COVID resources provide guidance regarding prevention of COVID 19 and online interactive activities for those with disabilities.
Services: To apply for Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families(TANF), or Medicaid. Financial assistance for foods. During COVID work requirements have been suspended. SNAP recipients may purchase groceries online with the use of an EBT card. They are automatically eligible to participate in this program and do not need to apply. Pandemic EBT- Provides supplemental assistance for children who have lost access to free/reduced lunches due to pandemic-related school closures.
