How do I apply for AIM High 2023?

Please visit the AIM High website and select the application process tab scroll down to the bottom and click where is says click here to pay $30.00 application fee. (The application fee is Mandatory and must be paid in order to apply to the program). The link will be listed on the website once applications open in January 2023.

Can I use my school email address to access the application?

It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that the students use their personal email address and not a school issued email address due to security restrictions and our application platform.

How do I pay the application fee?

The link for the application fee is available in the Application Process tab.

I have paid the $30.00 dollar registration fee, but I have not received any further information.

Once the application fee has been processed, you will be sent an email with a private link to complete the on-line application. Please allow for 48-72 (excluding weekends and holidays) hours to receive an application packet via email. The application cannot be accessed without first paying the $30 application fee. The application packet will be sent to the students’ email.

I have paid the $30.00 dollar registration fee does this secure my spot in the program.

The application process is ongoing, and slots are not given on first come first serve basis.

How will I be notified if I have been accepted or not?

You will be notified via email if you are selected for the program.

Can I get the application fee back if I change my mind?

Application fees are non-refundable even if an application is rejected or waitlisted or in the event of force majeure.

Do I have to live in Florida to be eligible for this program?

No, applications are open to residents of Florida as well as out of state applicants.

Do you accept international students?

No, we do not accept international students currently.

How much does AIM High cost and what does it include?

Session I & Session II:

Tuition of $1500 & Includes:

  • 7+ hours of instruction each day
  • Social events, including an Evening Gala
  • Meals, snacks, and refreshments
  • Interaction with NSU medical students and faculty

When is the deadline for application?

Deadline for application is April 1, 2023.

Do you need an official copy of my transcript?

No, we will accept copies of your transcript.

How will I be notified if I have been accepted into the program or not?

AIM-High will carefully review all applications and send decisions within 4 weeks of receipt. All applicants should receive their decision email no later than mid-April 2023.

Do you offer scholarships or discounts?

We offer needs-based scholarships, but they are limited and apply to Florida residents only. To apply for a scholarship student must submit an essay:

*Discounts are offered to NSU employees but apply to immediate family members only.*

*We do not offer discounts for NSU alumni or siblings of current NSU students.*

How do I apply for a scholarship?

Scholarships are need-based, and applicants must submit a one-page essay describing why they are applying for a needs-based scholarship. Applicants should consider including information specific to familial circumstances that might make participation in AIM-High difficult without a scholarship. (The essay must be typed, single-spaced and submitted along with the application.)

If I received a scholarship how much will I have to pay?

If you receive a full scholarship the cost of the camp is covered in full. If you receive a partial scholarship, you will be responsible for the remaining balance of the camp fee.

What forms of payment are accepted?

We accept all major credit cards/debit cards, money order or cashier’s check. (Personal checks and cash are NOT accepted.)

Will I receive a schedule or list of events?

A copy of the schedule will be provided upon check-in to the accepted student information on our website prior to the start of camp. All students will also receive a copy of the schedule along with other camp materials upon check-in.

Can I attend all three sessions?

No, you must choose one session only.

What is the difference between sessions or locations?

The same material is covered both weeks and in both locations. There is minimal or no difference.

Can I attend the program if I am a graduating senior?

No, this program is only available to rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors in high school.

You must have completed your Freshman year in high school to be eligible to attend the camp.

What are the dining options?

Meals, snacks, and refreshments will be served daily and students will have a variety of options available.

Shark Dining caters to all diets. Kosher, vegan and vegetarian options are also available.

How can I communicate with my teen while he or she is at camp?

Participants are permitted to have their cell phones with them during camp, although they will be asked to be silenced during sessions. They will be able to communicate during recreation hours.

Can my child bring their own snacks?

Yes, your child can bring their own personal snacks.

Are medical professionals available to my child while at camp?

Yes, we have a clinic onsite.
