St. Vincent’s Family Medicine Residency Program

Faculty Position – Family Medicine

The St. Vincent’s Family Medicine Residency Program is recruiting a full-time Family Physician faculty to join our 16 faculty and 30 residents. Established in 1972, the program has over 300 graduates in a wide variety of practice and leadership positions. The program has dual accreditation with the ACGME and AOA, and consistently filling in both the Osteopathic and Allopathic matches each year.

Our Family Medicine Center (PCMH) has 35,000 office visits per year, 400 obstetrical deliveries, and is committed to providing care to the underserved and vulnerable of our community, as well as our neighbors in the historic Riverside area of Jacksonville.

The position time and duties are flexible, but currently consist of:

-          30% clinical time seeing your own panel of patients

-          40% precepting residents in the Family Medicine Center

-          15% teaching rounds in hospital, newborn nursery and nursing home

-          15% research, administration, advising

Call is approximately one night in 14, and one weekend in 8.

Special consideration will be given to candidates who have skills in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and knowledge of Osteopathic Principles in Practice, who have experience in teaching medical students and residents, and to those who bring their own unique skills to our team.
